Company Leadership

The Optimal Readings management team is comprised of individuals with deep healthcare and IT experience, including more than 100 years of combined experience with imaging systems, radiology processes and medical association leadership. Optimal management includes a former chairman of the American College of Radiologists and a past president of the American Hospital Radiology Administrators Association.

Craig Parker, Chief Executive Officer

Craig Parker is a seasoned business executive whose track record includes two prior startups with impressive track records.  Craig was trained as a CPA and lawyer, has practiced law on Wall Street and has held a number of leadership positions ranging from chief financial officer to general counsel and executive vice president.  Craig currently serves on the board of directors for XeDAR Inc., a publicly traded geographic information systems software company with a broad military and government customer base.

Dr. Neal Templeton, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Neal Templeton is a former president and chairman of the American College of Radiology and is a current trustee and chairman of the finance committee for Baptist Health System.  He served as the Chairman of Radiology at a 500-bed hospital and led his private practice group for more than 15 years. In addition, he is a consulting chief medical officer to Emageon, Inc., a leading provider of PACS software and image storage and visualization solutions.  Dr. Templeton has served on numerous private and public boards and authorities, bringing an unparalleled understanding of the challenges that facilities, physicians, administrators and practice groups face on a daily basis.

Luckey Crocker, Chief Operating Officer

Luckey Crocker served as a member of the senior management team for two successful start-up companies in the healthcare information technology industry.  Luckey also has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the computer services business, including director and vice president-level responsibilities leading physician practice administration, sales, customer support and alliance partner relationships for SEAKO, CSC Healthcare Systems, Nichols TXEN and DST Health Solutions. Prior to these responsibilities, Luckey served as a sales representative with IBM.

Rita Edwards, Senior Vice-President Clinical Operations

Rita Edwards is an accomplished operations executive with more than 21 years of experience working in healthcare and imaging environments.  Rita served as executive director of pathology and imaging services at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where she led two large clinical departments with a staff of 200 colleagues in patient care, financial and operational management that generated more than $160 million in annual net income. Rita also served as vice president of Shared Clinical Services at Baptist Medical Center Montclair (534 beds) and as vice president of Clinical and Administrative Services for Walker Baptist Hospital (267 beds).  In addition to this experience, Rita is a registered Cardiovascular, ARRT Cardiac Interventional, ARRT Radiologist and ARRT Mammography Technologist and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association for Female Executives and Alabama Forum College of Healthcare Executives.

Don Ulinski, Chief Financial Officer

Don Ulinski has more than 30 years of financial management experience, with expertise drawn from a wide variety of financial and special projects.  Don’s long and diverse career includes stints as vice president and controller for Gulf Oil International in London, director of corporate financial systems for Chevron and as chief financial officer at Emageon, where he led the company’s financial organization during its early growth years, providing a foundation for the company’s $100 million per year sales threshold.

Russ Bagby, Controller

Russ Bagby is a licensed CPA. Russ has a variety of accounting experience that includes primary day-to-day financial responsibilities for a $1 billion per year business for Drummond Company . Prior to Drummond, Bagby held a variety of accounting-related positions at Altec Industries and at public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand.
